Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
When you sign up we collect your email address, username, and a hashed password. When you deposit or withdraw, our payment processor (Stripe) collects payment details — chip never stores your card number or bank details. When you play a contest, we record the result, your connected gaming platform IDs (PSN, Xbox, EA, Riot), any screenshots or stream URLs you submit as evidence, and the IP address you used to play. We also log basic technical information (device, browser, timestamps) to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use it
We use your information to: run your account and wallet, match you with opponents, verify contest results, process deposits and prize payouts, prevent fraud and collusion, communicate important account and contest updates, and comply with our legal obligations.
3. Who we share it with
We share data only with the providers we need to run chip: Stripe (payments), Resend (email), our cloud hosting providers, and the game publishers' public APIs (Riot Games, Twitch, YouTube) when verifying contest evidence. We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We will disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights or other users.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use a small number of essential cookies and local storage entries to keep you logged in and remember your theme preference. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
5. Security
Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. Sessions use signed JSON Web Tokens. Wallet balances are kept in a separate ledger and held funds are isolated during contests. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.
6. Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or request deletion of your account by emailing support@chipme.in. We will retain certain records (transaction history, fraud signals) for as long as required by law even after account deletion.
7. Children
chip is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
8. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the date of the most recent revision at the top of this page.
